ComputerVault Hyper-converged Infrastructure software delivers virtual desktops, an Internet of Things Platform and an advanced Cybersecurity Suite that prevents malware/ransomware infections and stops phishing attacks. ComputerVault HCI is based on a proprietary, modified Linux OS Distribution that does not require any other operating system or third-party software for its installation and functioning.
Despite releasing version 1.0 in only Q4 2019, ComputerVault HCI has been enthusiastically received and is undergoing testing and review by the US Federal Government, the Indian Federal Government, and several large enterprise companies interested in enhancing their cybersecurity posture and reducing costs.
Virtual desktops are well known as the best solution to the two most significant weaknesses of PC’s. PC’s are not very secure and they cost too much to support. Virtual desktops have not been widely adopted, however, because they perform slowly, frustrating users, lowering productivity and driving users to abandon them and go back to a PC.
To overcome these poor performance issues, virtual desktop vendors have licensed expensive software and host them on expensive servers. While these efforts have failed to significantly improve performance, they have driven up the cost to deploy and use virtual desktops.
ComputerVault Virtual Desktops overcomes all of these issues:
ComputerVault Virtual Desktops are accessible from both the office and when working remotely, including the use of a web browser, so any device in any location may be used. Whether in the office or when working remotely, the performance is still faster than a PC on your desk. The performance is such that remote productivity is the same as being in the office, and ComputerVault replaces the PC as the primary end-user computing device.
Usually deployed on a customer’s site, ComputerVault ensures data privacy and control. No corporate data or files are stored on end-user devices. Corporate data is always in the data center where it is backed up, protected from malware/ransomware and can’t be lost or stolen.
Deploying ComputerVault does not require any Rip ‘n Replace. Rather it is deployed in addition to the existing infrastructure. Also, a ComputerVault installation can be deployed in a matter of hours. The monthly subscription software license includes installation and 24x7 monitoring and support from the ComputerVault Network Operations Center, so customers do not need to hire any additional support staff. Servers may be purchased by the customer or by ComputerVault and amortized as part of the subscription, so as to eliminate CapEx.
ComputerVault is less expensive than buying physical PC’s and laptops. First, it is based on a proprietary distribution of Linux, which does not include any third-party software. Secondly, it is optimized to be hosted on inexpensive, Commercially Available Off-the-Shelf servers. These two factors make ComputerVault completely unique when compared to all other competing products. Also, check out “ComputerVault HCI” on our YouTube page.
